Area APIs¶

Areas are assigned to a floor grouped by department or functional expertise to illuminate specific or large spaces. An area groups a subset of devices, including Enlighted Gateways, Sensors, Enlighted Room Control (ERC) Switches, Plugloads, etc.

Areas are assigned to unique Area IDs. The Area ID is used as the primary identifier in other API calls requesting data.

• Collect consolidated occupancy status information from individual sensors in an area.
• Measure the aggregate energy consumption for devices in an area.
• During an emergency, automatically turn lights on 100% in an area.
