Generative AI Chat Privacy Information¶

At Siemens we are committed to protecting your privacy. In the following we explain how we collect and process your personal data when you use our chat services that are based on Generative AI technology.

Categories of personal data processed and purpose of the processing¶

When you use our chat services, we only collect your device ID and the information that you actively provide as part of the chat conversation or in the context of it (such as your email address, if provided as part of your feedback to us).

We use and process these personal data:

• To provide you with the chat services;
• To monitor the quality of the chat experience and ensure that the output is appropriate, respectful, and does not contain illegal, offensive language or materials; and
• As reasonably necessary to establish or preserve a legal claim or defense, to prevent fraud or other illegal activities, including attacks on our information technology systems.

We do not share your chat prompts with the provider of the Generative AI technology to train the AI based on your prompts.
